Some of the trial work you read or hear about is not relevant to
conditions in your local area. In the spring of 2000 we began conducting trials
to see if some of the things we read about are in fact replicable. Since then,
our Crop Production Trial program has grown to include a number of crop types
and the testing of many different treatments.
REPLICATION
IS REAL! Our Crop Production Trials are replicated in a randomized
four block setup. This method of testing is acceptable for statistical
purposes. Information such as plant populations, stem counts, tuber
counts, size profile, total weight, marketable weights and net yields
are recorded.
RESULTS
DON`T LIE! We
are confident that the results from these tests are accurate. We are learning
that some treatments and/or practices are providing positive results and that
some treatments and/or practices do not provide consistent or positive results.
